"Mammoth Consolidated Mine is a great historic mine site and camp. There are few log.cabins, some.old.mining equipment and an old mine tunnel. It is easily accessible and is about a 1/4 mile loop around the mining site/camp."

There are two (barred) mine entrances, stamp mill ruins, mining cabins, and an very old car with wooden wheels (now petrified), a hand crank for starting the engine. This car was converted into machinery to run mining operations. All of this & more - in an absolutely beautiful setting!!"

"Great place to see some of the history up in the high sierras. To see how the Gold fever extended even on the Eastern side near Mammoth mountain is pretty crazy. Learning how and why it's called Mammoth mountain also is pretty trippy. Definitely recommended!!!"
